The combination of plaster and burnt wood against each other almost forms a floating landscape with great contrasts. The wood has been steam bent so that it is formed in the same line as the plaster, so that the traces of the floating properties of the plaster are transferred to the wood. The wood is also burned after assembly, which promotes the tension in the fibers of the wood. The plaster stands well next to the wood, but at the same time as they have great contrasts in each other. The plaster seems soft and flowing, while the wood is harder and rough. The use of screws in the wood enhances the roughness, and gives the plaster an even smoother feeling over it.
