As an artist I live and work in Bergen, Norway, where I am now completing my masters's degree at the Faculty of Fine Art, University of Bergen. I mostly work with material that I have harvested from my own forest which gives me a greater understanding of the value of wood, and a great connection to the material.

My work mainly consists of working with wood, a material I have worked with all my life. Recently, I have become interested in looking at how external forces can affect the material, where the wood's own qualities define the outcome. Here I stand on the sideline as a director who sets processes in motion where I can only watch the final outcome.
I am also very interested in contrasts between materials, and have ongoing projects where I juxtapose wood against other materials, mostly consisting of white neutral materials both highlighting the wood and exposing its roughness.
