Wood is a material that is used for so many things, but one often does not get to see the strength it has. By setting wood of two different qualities up against each other, this strength is brought out. Here I have used an old veneer sheet that has been exposed to weather over an extended period, up against several thin slices from fresh laths. Combined with oversized bolts that hold the wood in place, the strength becomes visible. It is clear that the new wood is the most power, but still the old has a strength that makes it resistant to being bent. Mounted on an OSB plate covered in acrylic
